Growing up independently with ability to work wisely, generate income, and have some savings
CCF has initiated the program “Promoting Income Generating and Financial Skills for Urban Marginalized Youths (CCF Teen Entrepreneurs)” where 600 students from five pilot schools (Pittayalongkorn Pittayakom School, Wat NongKaem Secondary School, NuanNoradit Wittayakom Ratchamangklapisek School, SotSuksa NakornPatom School, and Wat Trai Samakki School-Samutprakarn) will get train in occupational skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
The program is designed to motivate urban youths to open their mind for different types of job, it also gives them opportunities to experience working in teams starting their own simulation companies. Apart from learning about production skills (bakery, ice cream, mushroom cultivation, etc), students will also be trained to understand overall business process, starting from business plan, production, accounting, personnel management, sales and marketing. The students will learn business under the teachers’ supervision. So far, the private sector has rendered technical support are Khun Nattaya Pangputhipong from Coffee Beans by Dao for bakery, Khun Narote Piriyarangsan, young businessman from HB Middle Group for business planning, and specialists from Stock Exchange of Thailand joined in for financial literacy.
The duration for this program is 18 months. The students will gain invaluable knowledge on income generation and entrepreneurship so as to be able to earn some money while studying, as well as to discover their dreams and potentiality.
